Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking a strategic, action-oriented Product Marketing Manager to spearhead this new function at Coastal. As a leading Salesforce and AI consulting firm, we offer industry-leading services and need a seasoned professional to package them in a compelling way to drive demand for Coastal from both Salesforce partners and market buyers.

You will own the strategy and execution of product marketing initiatives, working cross-functionally with industry, service line, and solutions teams to take complex ideas and quickly turn them into consumable assets that can be used across the business.

Responsibilities

Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Deeply understand Coastal’s customers, our brand positioning, and the value we bring
  • Analyze data to develop insights that inform positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Stay close to projects delivered and customer sentiment on services
  • Refine materials based on learnings

 

Positioning, Messaging, Content:

  • Work closely with Coastal’s industry, service line, and innovation teams to articulate clear, compelling positioning and messaging
    • Find creative ways to extract ideas from busy teams
    • Take tech-led concepts and translate into human messaging
    • Make the complex simple
  • Define target audiences and build personas (including Salesforce as persona due to channel-marketing strategy)
  • Create a templatized messaging framework and develop distinct value propositions that resonate with target audiences
  • Build sales collateral, presentations, and other materials to support the sales process, including but not limited to:
    • First Call Deck for Prospects (Google Slides)
    • Intro Deck for Salesforce (Google Slides)
    • Website Page (WordPress)
    • Case Study (WordPress)
    • One Page PDF (Canva)
    • Blog (WordPress)
  • Work cross-functionally with delivery and finance on pricing as needed
  • Ensure all materials are well-written, designed, and on brand
  • Own Coastal’s Case Study program

 

Enablement:

  • Develop enablement materials to equip the Go-to-Market team with the tools, resources, and training they need to effectively sell our services, including but not limited to:
    • Enablement Deck (Google Slides)
    • Email Template (Salesforce Inbox)
    • Social Post Template
    • Soundbite for Salesforce
  • Own content repositories, keeping them organized and updated with accurate materials
  • Enable alliances and marketing teams to utilize materials for demand generation

 

Brand:

  • Partner closely with the Demand Generation and Events teams to make sure services are represented properly and utilized
  • Partner with VP of Marketing on Analyst Relations

 

General:

  • Juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage to timelines
  • Share status updates cross-functionally

Required Skills, Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the technology or consulting industry
  • Must have a portfolio or samples of previous product marketing work
  • 10/10 written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to pull insights from murky details
  • Meticulous with strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Must be excellent at Google Slides
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and its ecosystem is highly desirable
  • Experience with design tools like Canva is a plus
  • Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
