When Ergo Mechanical Industrial (EMI), a Georgetown, Kentucky-based manufacturer, was seeking a technology solutions partner, they looked no further once they had connected with Coastal Cloud. The information technology company has its headquarters in Florida, with solution center hubs in Louisville, KY, and Colorado. Coastal Cloud was able to provide expertise to EMI in an affordable package, said Chuck Mix, EMI’s President and Chief Operations Officer.
When you think of harnessing the power of technology, the first industry sector that leaps to mind might not be nonprofits. But Coastal Cloud, a cloud-based information technology services and business consulting firm, is an organization that appreciates that it’s not just Fortune 500 businesses that have been transformed by the digital era – or can benefit from it.
For Lori Lenehan at Coastal Cloud, harnessing the power of technology to assist healthcare sector clients is a job with both challenges and significant rewards. As Managing Director, Healthcare, Lenehan said the challenging aspect is that healthcare is such a rapidly evolving and fluid industry. However, she believes in Coastal Cloud’s ability to make a positive change for a wide variety of healthcare clients, from payers to patients.
Sara Hale discovered her strength behind a keyboard and monitor during computer science classes in college, which captured her interest and sparked a love affair with technology that evolved into a lifelong career.
For Sara Hale, Coastal Cloud’s co-founder and managing partner, seven solid years of traveling almost 100 percent of the time for the technology firm where she previously worked resulted in a non-existent work-life balance. She wanted room for her family in her life, so she and husband, Tim, also in the technology field, set out to try to create the kind of company where they themselves would want to work.
Today, Florida Trend magazine named Coastal Cloud #3 of the “Best Companies to Work For” in the 2017 mid-sized employers category. The annual Best Companies list is featured in the August issue of Florida Trendmagazine. One-hundred companies are ranked in small, medium and large employer categories.
Participating companies underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. To participate, companies had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year.
“We are extremely proud to be ranked so high amongst a list of great companies,” says Sara Hale, co-founder and managing partner of Coastal Cloud. “We put as much focus on our company culture as we do our growth, work and client satisfaction. We greatly value the talent we have on our team and work diligently to maintain our unique environment.”
“What’s clear from our list is that amenities like free lunch or a game room at the workplace are not the things that make a great workplace. Those amenities are just part of the way companies reflect their cultures — it’s the culture of the company and the company’s ability to hire people who understand and embody the culture that creates a great workplace,” says Executive Editor Mark Howard.
The Best Companies To Work For In Florida program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. Best Companies Group managed the registration, survey and analysis and determined the final rankings. Palm Coast, Fla. (PRWEB) April 11, 2017
Northeast Florida-based Coastal Cloud, a business and technology consulting leader that focuses on mid-sized businesses, nonprofits and state & local entities throughout North America, announced its recent advancement to Platinum Consulting Partner with Salesforce.
Sara and Tim Hale enjoyed spending their vacations at Hammock Beach in Flagler County, and when they thought about sites for their new technology solutions company, they decided Flagler might be the right spot.
“At that point in time we realized there was an opportunity,” says Sara Hale.
The Hales founded Coastal Cloud in Palm Coast in 2013. Since then, it has grown to 110 employees, with plans to reach 250 in the next three years.
The company is just the type Flagler County is trying to attract to expand its employment base.
As of August 31, 2016, Palm Coast, Fla.-based Coastal Cloud ranked #1 in Customer Satisfaction among Salesforce.com Gold Level Alliance Partners in North America. Coastal Cloud is the only Gold Level Partner based in the southeast.
“Our culture is client focused. We strive for 100% client satisfaction and work to earn long term relationships with each of our clients,” says Tim Hale, a Managing Partner and Coastal Cloud co-founder. “Our highly skilled and responsive team of experienced, certified and on-shore experts understand the profound value of client testimonials.”
As one satisfied client says, “They listened to what we wanted to accomplish, asked the right questions, and listened to our responses. Then they built a product that does exactly what we need it to do, on time and on budget.”
In February 2013, Tim and Sara Hale stood in the lobby of the Hammock Beach Discovery Center surrounded by Gov. Rick Scott and several local officials to open their company, Coastal Cloud. At the time, Tim Hale said the high-tech company hoped to have 100 employees in three years.
“We’ve achieved that,” Hale said. “Now we’re setting our sights on what’s next.”
Part of what’s next is investing even more in Flagler County, with the purchase of the Discovery Center building. The Hales closed the deal on March 31, paying $2,175,000 for the property, according to public records.
