Like many veterans, Gina Sebastian found herself seeking her next career steps, following her time in the military. The transition from a soldier to a civilian often leaves many looking for the next step. Gina enjoyed a few years as a stay-at-home mother, spending quality time with her family. However, she still felt the spark to start a new chapter and challenge herself. A fellow military spouse mentioned the opportunities that lie within Salesforce’s Military Alliance Program, and she dove in. Six months after achieving her first Salesforce certification, she was offered a position at a Salesforce Platinum Partner company: Coastal Cloud. “Choosing a career in the Salesforce ecosystem, empowered me to unleash my potential and rise up as a leader in a civilian setting,” Gina states. Today, Gina successfully balances a challenging career, while maintaining a flexible lifestyle. She connects her time in the military to her current career as, “reminiscent of my time in the Army, I love problem solving with my team and delivering solutions with the utmost integrity.” Gina is able to mother her three young children and spend time with her spouse, who also served in the military.
The Salesforce Military Alliance Program allows for active duty, veterans, reserve, guard and military spouses to gain access to free training and career opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem. It is an extremely valuable community filled with talented people.
